What is the Scientists Reveal the Hi meme?
It is an image macro made to look like a news-website thumbnail: a photo of an orange cat with a big headline, “Scientists reveal the hi”. According to Know Your Meme, the format began as an edit captioned “Scientists reveal the secret”, first with a dog on a couch and then with a cat photo taken from a news article; a later edit swapped “secret” for “hi”. In October it spread on TikTok and Instagram, where people change the word (bye, secret and many more) or swap in another animal. Read the full history on Know Your Meme.
Your pet, your headline
This generator does not use the original photo. You bring your own pet, and the tool lays a bold headline over it in a generic breaking-news look, with a small watermark in the corner. Choose widescreen for TikTok, YouTube and X, or square for Instagram posts.
How to make the meme
- Upload a photo of your pet. A JPEG, PNG or WebP photo from your phone or computer. A face looking at the camera works best. Until you add one, the preview uses our own example cat.
- Type your word. The headline reads “Scientists reveal the” plus your word. It starts as hi; try bye, secret, snack or your pet’s name.
- Pick a size and frame it. Widescreen or square, then slide the photo position until the face sits above the headline.
- Download the PNG. Tap Download PNG and share it anywhere. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is charged.
